I was going to add Notre Dame to that list, but they may be considered cupcakes at this point.

I hope OU beats the living shite out of FL.

frick the SEC, why would anyone want other teams in the SEC to get a recruiting advantage?

Agreed. Hope Oklahoma wins. You have to think big picture. It's not just us vs. UF recruiting-wise. It's the Miami's and FSU's as well. If UF continues to have success, they'll have a better shot at locking the state of Fla. up, making them an even stronger opponent. We don't battle it out with Miami, FSU, Oklahoma, etc. to go through the SEC gauntlet each year.

Yea, I hope an over-rated Oklahoma team, who shouldn't even be in the national championship game "AGAIN" beats Florida....

That way the media will pop off about how strong the Big 12 is and how weak the SEC is. I want to SEC to win "ALL" the time.

Wake up people.....

This is a huge game for these 2 conferences. Huge bragging rights are involved. SEC should be where our allegiance lies... plus we get money if Florida wins, which is a bonus.

the perfect situation for me would have been for ohio state to win last night and oklahoma to win. the sec is doing very well this bowl season even if florida losses.

Florida all the way. The more the SEC wins the more the benefit of the doubt they will get including LSU when it comes to rankings, BCS bowls, championship opportunities, and prestige of being in clearly the best conference.

Big picture would be wanting to keep your conference strong. Last time I checked LSU had a better recruiting class than Florida and has won 3 out of 5, 4 out of 7 against them. So LSU is not really worried that Florida's recruits are choosing Florida over Miami and FSU

I'm taking off my purple and gold glasses for this one. I'm not sure you can say OU is overrated this year. ('04 was a different story) I do think Texas should have made it over them, but that doesn't mean OU is overrated. Their passing game would have killed us this year.

Does anyone think that Oklahoma winning helps their chances with signing RR? On the other hand if they lose, Bradford may come back for another chance for the title. I know alot think this is a LSU-Bama battle but he says OK. is still in it.

I don't see how a florida loss keeps a sec team from a possible mnc apperance like some suggest. Ohio state continues to go and so does oklahoma.

Usc continues to kill opponets in bcs games but has been snubed more then i would have thought.

After watching texas play there is now way they should be in the title game.

I think the recruiting impact has more to do with getting to the game than in winning the game.

As to the effect on Bradford, my sense is that potential top 5 draft picks rarely hinge their decision on the possibility of next year's NC. JR is a good example here.

I'm pulling for Oklahoma. When the Florida fans come into town for the game this year they're going to be talking crap about killing us last year. I need to be able to come back with, "And who has two BCS national championships? That's what I thought."

So if winning a National title equals better recruiting classes, shouldn't we want OU to win this Thursday, purely because of the competition for southern recruits?

I never root for our competitors- SEC teams like Auburn, Bama and Florida. They are our direct competitors for recruits, resources, coaches, and air time. It's simply quite stupid to root for your direct competitors, who's single motivation is to annihialate you. Do you think douchebag Urban Meyer is really rooting for LSU to do well?

Has Oklahoma ever won the BCS NC before? I like that LSU is the only team to have won it twice.

ETA. never mind I see that they won it in 2001
