What do you mean they have different cutoffs?

The formula is simple and plainly stated by Rivals. The worst/most time consuming part is the adding

LSU is 2nd

plus bama signed more prospects and more of them are less likely to qualify.

Using the Rivals formula, I arrived at 2,746 points for Bama's final class. This would put them second behind LSU which sits at 2,762 points. Another poster on the mainboard came to the same exact conclusion.
NERDS! and 7 pages of this schatt!

holy crap, just read 7 pages of this. that's insane. rivals can take their rankings and shove it up their arse.

can someone post the correct calculations?

Alabama[H = 3110][L = 256][N = 390]
LSU[H = 3090][L = 254][N = 382]
the formula:
H * ( n / ( n + m ) ) + L * ( m / ( n + m ) )
Alabama = 2,786
LSU = 2,762
LSU[H = 3090][L = 254][N = 382]
the formula:
H * ( n / ( n + m ) ) + L * ( m / ( n + m ) )
Alabama = 2,786
LSU = 2,762

I get LSU's "n" as 389 not 382, but not sure where i am getting differences.

Bull Tiger7: If you have found where the exact cutoff is for each position or a way to find the exact number for N, please let me know

My post was simply to stop the conspiracy talk by showing other fans the Amount of points alloted to Alabama was more than possible.

Well, I think the whole point of this thread speaks for itself. After seven pages, it's pretty obvious we don't care about the number one ranking. Only Bama fans do.
