I sure hope you're joking.
If not, so that you can be informed, since apparently you are not, and yet decided to spew out biased and uninformed drivel anyway.
Apparently what happened was that as a freshman, Zach went to a local GA student bar, had a few drinks, and was messing around with some chick. They went their separate ways and someone made fun of her/gave her shite about it. When they saw each other again a little while later, he grabbed her arse and apparently she blew him off and told him not to. He didn't catch the hint and he touched her breast and she freaked out on him, and then later in a drunken fit, called the cops. So, it turns out she was a BIG Georgia Booster/Donor's daughter, and he threw a fit and blew up on the Athletic Dept, and to avoid hassles, Mettenberger was let go from the team. However, Richt has even come back since and been quoted as saying that looking back it was a mistake, and if given the chance again, he would not have let Mettenberger go b/c he was a good kid and great player and he didn't feel that he deserved such a severe punishment. Anyway, he plead guilty, the charges were reduced and he served community service. He made a formal apology to the girl, the school, and everyone else involved and has had to spend a year at a Juco in Kansas ( that is punishment enough ) Everything that everyone says indicates that he is an intelligent, kind individual with great charisma and integrity who simply made a poor choice which, honestly, was just a bad situation and an alcohol-influenced misunderstanding that turned out very badly for him.
I'd sure as hell have someone like him on my team as opposed to Cam Newton ( larceny, obstruction of justice, destruction of property, plagiarism, forgery, fraud, extortion ), Lamichael James ( Disorderly Conduct, 3rd degree Battery, Stalking, Strangulation, 2 counts of Aggravated Assault, 2 counts of Physical Harassment ), Jeremiah Masoli ( TWO counts of Strong Armed Robbery, DUI, Possession of Marijuana, Driving with a Suspended License, 2nd Degree Burglary ) This guys doesn't even belong anywhere near the same league with all of the other thugs and criminals on other teams out there, so lets try not to crucify him before he gets here, especially when most people don't even know what happened in his case.
How are you Mr. Mettenberger. When do you expect Zac to commit to us. Thanks for the scoop BTW.

Tim McGraw and Sandra Bullock asked him to check out Ole Miss. Offering him Taco Bell for life.

This kid knows the game, and the fact that he hasn't comitted should tell you everything you need to know.
He's good as gone. You might as well prepare for the fact that Jordan Jefferson will be the best QB on the 2011 Roster.
