Mo Claiborne

First name that came to mind when I first heard about Moss.

Claiborne would play QB, WR, RB, and DB in the same game sometimes. He also ran track like Moss, but I think Claiborne was actually a little faster.

Like Moss, Claiborne also flew under the radar in his recruitment. Partly because he was a DB but often played mostly on offense out of necessity. Northwood has plenty of talent at the skill positions. Moss’s versatility is more of a luxury for his coaches.

I think I found a couple of reasons Moss has flown under the radar and hasn’t been offered by LSU.

2020: Missed almost all of his Sophomore season due to injury.

2021: Entered the season largely unknown in recruiting circles. Most recruiting services didn’t fully evaluate or rank him until after the season.

Spring 2022: Injured in a car accident. Doesn’t get back to 100% until right before football season.

Summer camp season would have been the first chance for a lot of scouts and college coaches to get a firsthand look at him, but the car accident derailed that opportunity.
