Maybe its a Bama hangover from the founders of Rivals who now run Bamaonline.

guys guys guys......college football recruiting staffs couldn't give a tinker's damn about Rivals, Scout, ESPN, etc. They evaluate prospects on the basis of true ability and potential. They scrutinize thousands of hours of game film, conduct hands-on camps, and discuss intangibles with HS level coaching staffs as well.

These services do identify top level talent but for the most part this is a fricking popularity contest.

Hell, pay attention to the guys Saban develops that were never a 5*.........Ingram comes to mind as does Robby Green. I would like to point out young development by Les, but he is committed to the senority mantra.

recruiting will be fine. its such a crap shoot. everyone likes to brag about a highly ranked class, and , sure it makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside. truth is, there will always be busts, failouts, arrests, bad attitudes, poor work ethic, non qualifiers, diamonds in the rough and stars. remember for every "5 star" there are players who excel beyond recruiting rankings.
ernie badeaux DT- everyone wanted. went 2 fla. we got "stuck" with booger (who went 15th in the draft) ever heard of ernie badeaux?
eric jefferson-de evangel, now plays for chico state corr. facility
jacob hester-3 star
brandon lafell-3 star
josh reed- 3 star moved 2 wr by dinardo, NOT SABAN
adam mcconathy- lb w monroe. who?
joe mcknight-average as grits
research others such as- rusty williams, brian darden, bo carrol, dontae walker, mitch mustain, sterling boyd, preston jones, etc.
i trust coaches evals. i just wanna lock up the best in LA. and go from there. remember, texas pretty much locks up their class at summer camp evals. the coaches usually offer the right ones. but there are hits and misses. remember, its "POTENTIAL". GEAUX TIGERS !

JMO.

The depth they have on the roster, the quality of the class and the lack of a need for an ILB all make me doubt it's legitimacy.

There are plenty of guys who claim offers that aren't legit. For example look at donkeylips in your class. There have been 2 players try to commit to LSU only to find out that they didn't actually have offers.

Schools can't talk about recruits so rivals can only say what kids tell them.

I believe they are generally correct, but there are a lot of "uncommitable offers" listed on rivals.

You just took the best offer lists of the three stars in your class and posted them.

None of those lists said "I should be a 4 star". They weren't pitiful, but it wasn't making a big time case for them either.

I just randomly picked a few 3 stars from previous classes. I don't see how offers from USC, Florida, Ohio State, and Oklahoma don't impress you? TBH you're the one that sounds biased to me.

Horse shite. Do you really expect me, or anyone, to believe that?

I acknowledged those who had offers from those schools, but you obviously don't care about any of that.

I'm done, you win, Rivals is anti-Bama and Saban is just such a recruiting monster that they can't stop him. Never mind them moving players away from their current and projected positions in order to increase the score of their class, giving them the edge for number one. That was probably just a fluke.

And the 3 stars offers in LSU's class are all legit?

Glad we can come to an agreement.
