"most of the LSU fans said he was the #1 OL in Texas"

Why did you just take a steamy shite on your credibility?

Seems a little odd that you were trying so hard to downplay this kid for a week as being an ok player but now he's a good pickup for Bama. FWIW, I think he's a good pickup for Bama too but I haven't been poo-pooing the kid all week either.

I said Lindsey was a very good player. You have to be when your considered one of the top 100 prospects in Texas. A lot of the LSU guys on here argued with me saying he was the #1 OL prospect in Texas which is not the case. I never said the kid wasn't a baller but to say he's a better prospect than Matthews,Washington or Hopkins is insane. Once again good pick up BAMA you got yourselves a good player.

I don't doubt that a few goobers on here might have argued with you and claimed he was the #1 OL in Texas. I don't agree that most LSU fans thought he was the best OL in Texas. Most of the LSU fans I know weren't real excited about signing a guy rated as the 60th best player in Texas.

Aside from any rankings, I also think he is going to be a solid player for Bama, but he just doesn't really fit the prototypical OL that LSU recruits these days.

he's built similar to lowe, ainsworth, and T-bob, correct? *I'm just going off the listed numbers on scout.com

Lowe is 6'6..but both Ainsworth and T-bob are pretty close to him.

I go to chad's school and he is definitely not the number one linemen in Texas. He is a solid player, but he is too slow to play in the SEC. I wish him the best, but I have seen him for four years he is only an average player.

Well there ya go...Nobody knows whats going on behind the scenes with the coaching staff. Our offensive line since Miles has been at LSU has been a strong point, and will continue to be. Everyone needs to chill out and trust the coaches on this one.

That being said the following is an SEC talent recruiting evaluation from a high school student:

"I go to chad's school and he is definitely not the number one linemen in Texas. He is a solid player, but he is too slow to play in the SEC. I wish him the best, but I have seen him for four years he is only an average player."

1)Chad's offer list is very strong. I'd tend to trust recruiting experts over a high school kid who probably knows much less about SEC speed.

2)He's only played 3 years of high school ball so it would be hard to have seen him for 4 years unless you're going back to junior high.

-------

I live in Houston and from what I've heard Chad is a good player. You've got to have good interior line players. They're much more commmon than great tackles. In my opinion it's a good pickup. However if there wasn't the stupid Bama vs. LSU angle then this story would be a tiny blip.

Regardless of the service Alabama and LSU had top 3 classes last year. They aren't really hurting each other.

In Summary for those just joining.....Lindsay is a good player....good pick up for Alabama....doesn't have commitable offer from LSU....when and if does....will switch and no one will apparently care either way.

Did I miss anything?

Yeah I am a sophmore and have been going to his school my whole time. I didn't say he was bad, I was just saying I don't feel like he will project to be an SEC offensive linemen. He is big and plays against some pretty bad teams like Oak Ridge, Conroe, New Caney, and College Park. Like I said though, I hope he proves me wrong. It really made me mad when I saw him with an Alabama hat on today.

LSU has extended a bunch of offers but very few committable offers. I would have thought that most people that follow recruiting would know this by now. An offer won't help you much if it is not a committable offer.

Just recall the clusterfark that followed when Montrell Connor tried to commit to LSU following receipt of his "offer" last year. Yet he had an "offer" confirmed by his coach also.

Looks to me like LSU extends only un-committable offers to recruits that choose another school.

Hey man don't let tigerjake bother you. He is one of the bitches on this site. TDings is a good site for recruiting info, but unfortunately there are a few posters like him here, that call names like a 13 year old.

He's similar to T-Bob, our center except Lindsey is a guard. Lindsey has great size and shape for a center in my view. Maybe he will move over.

So your claiming that LSU didn't offer Richardson. Interesting take but I respectfully disagree, even if Bama fans do know more about LSU recruiting that LSU fans.

I have to say after reading your in depth analysis of Chad you have changed my perception of his talent level. I wonder if i could run some other recruits by you for your feedback? Son, stick to pinching pimples and j**king off and leave the analysis to the big boys.
