which usually means they already know where they are going(USC in this case) and just want to take free trips.

Why worry about it?.......the kid is going to make a decsion when he makes a decision....It's up to the recruiting coaches, the parents, the kid and anyone else that influences the kid.
Maybe he's into making all the recruiting trips- why not...just as long as he qualifies academically...maybe he's messing with all of us....Hope he makes a good decsion for the right reasons..
