kiffin did a hell of a job in 2008 - 2009...
he was able to sell the volunteer program based on its legacy - a fantastic one... and himself simply on his southern cal - heavy resume
we'll see if the emperor has clothes pretty damn quickly while we daydream of empress layla out of hers
in 2009 - 2010, he'll have a body of work with him which includes the fall season. he has a mountain of work ahead of him, and instead of him flying under the radar among the floridas, georgias and alabamas, these teams will be determined for a beatdown on the volunteers... and a bad beatdown
like it or not a stronger volunteer program is helpful for LSU

Stronger Tenn does help us but it is pretty obvious how Tenn is "selling" it's program right now. Not sour grapes because I think most teams are shady but Tenn is blatantly obvious. Then again, why not cheat if you were Kiffin. What job will he have if he fails? He only has one option to match up talent wise with Florida and Bama and he knows it.

Where is your evidence of the cheating? Please provide.

Even though a stronger tenn may be in our best interest, I would rather get this POS out of the SEC. This guy is bad for college football..

Ed Orgeron and Lance Thompson. You can't trace cash.

Secondary vioations are no big deal. Every program commits them hence the term "secondary." Saint Richt of UGA had 17 of them last year alone. Show me proof of the cash, Escalades, and Hummmers.

Do you think somebody would be stupid enough to buy a recruit a new car these days? Give your guys more credit than that.
Posted on 3/17/09 at 10:12 am to tigerskin
Well, how are they cheating then?

Honestly, I really don't care much about those pitiful violations in isolation. It's more the general douchbaggery of Kiffin et al. He's coming out firing at all these programs for recruiting violations and negative recruiting. He comes across as, for lack of a better description, a spoiled whiny bitch.
And he's going to need to be on his toes. As an outsider acting like that, there will be a microscope on your program. Any minor violation will be magnified.
As they say, where there's smoke, there's fire.

Cold hard cash with instructions on not to buy big ticket items. Spend a little at a time. Makes it impossible to prove. Didn't say they weren't good at it.

Usually the ones who put themselves in the spotlight are clean or at the very least have their Ts crossed and Is dotted. Just like Denzel Washington said in Training Day, "It's not what you know, it's what you can prove." It's the quiet ones you have to worry about.

Whatever makes you feel better.

BTW, still no proof from anybody on this board. I'm waiting.

Unless anyone has proof, it is crazy to say someone is cheating. I just feel, he is a loose cannon and the posibility is there for UT to get in trouble.
But we will see

Lance Thompson used to work here. But he learned all that stuff right after he left LSU.

You need to cool it with the whining about Tennersee paying recruits. It's annoying and you don't have a clue if its true either way.

You don't have a clue what I know and what I don't know. And I don't care what you believe either way.

Ok Agent Jethro. Keep spewing your "top secret" sour grapes.

Work on reading comprehension. I am glad Tenn. is getting better. It helps LSU. Bama needs to get L's from Tenn.
