If Shepard could catch with his hands and not go from a 4.4 guy to a 4.6 guy when running routes then he may have been used more during his career. He's an average SEC reciever that happens to have speed and had a pretty 5* rating out of hs. He's not the most misused player in LSU history. Not even close. I can honestly make an argument Rueben Randle was more misused than Shepard. I like Shepard and hope he improves greatly in the next year but he is just not a good wr and imo has been on the field too much in his career at wr. Landry,Wright and Boone should have been playing most of his snaps this year. All are better wrs than Shepard.

Thanks for making my argument for me. Shepard should have been used more like Florida used Percy Harvin. Having him as WR 95% of the time is definitely misuse. Everybody talked about the "Wild Tiger" and Shepard taking snaps how many times has R.S. lined up under center?
