I think we have a solid class this year. We really need a DE, and DT and Kenny Young then our class will still be great. How do you guys feel about this.

I'm trying to be rational about this. And we have an outstanding class with major players from other states. Probably one of the best classes in LSU's history.

I can even understand the Noil and Jones committments. I don't like it, but I understand it. Kinda.

BUT, we should never never ever ever ever lose a linebacker or offensive lineman that LSU offers from West Monroe!!! How did this happen?!

And GWIII?! One of the 3 or 4 positions we excell at recruiting and developing and we lose him to a crappy city with a coach that will not be there when he graduates. What the hell?!

These two are inexcusable in my book.

I like LSU football players, generally.

I do not like players of other teams, generally.

Except that the best DL in LA happened to be the brother of a recruit that hates us as a fanbase, school, state, etc.

Young people, as a group, generally make poor and often impulsive decisions. Why should high school football players be any different?

What should we have done? Tranquilized Hootie Jones and smuggled him into Baton Rouge later this month? Cut off the food supply to Northeast Louisiana until CRob and Hootie verbally committed to LSU?

Assassinated Nick Saban - for the good of LSU football?

I'm just curious as to what you think we didn't do, that we could have done.

There will be more commits from solid players who want to play at LSU. And I'm sure some of those players will come from another state. Just accept the best guys who want to play at LSU and all will be fine.

You know what, my disappointment is waning by the hour.

This class will still be special, not because of pure talent but because of enthusiasm. We need kids that want to build something, because we do need to build to get back to national championship form. All of these guys have been extremely adamant and excited about the LSU program, more than I remember in recent memory.

See what's happening at Bama? That team is supremely talented, but lacks heart. It's full of a bunch of highly talented guys that don't know what it took to get them to that level. Saban himself knows it, that's why he's had no fire this year. His process is not broken, just falling on deaf ears right now.

Our team's trending up, Bama's trending down. This is the time to be at LSU. We don't want a bunch of supremely talented people that just want to coast, who are looking for the guy next to him to do their job. These guys we have want to build greatness, not join greatness.

Not saying those that want to join greatness is bad. Every class needs both type of players, but we have a ton of leaders in this class. That only bodes well for us.
