Actually you are wrong. Evangel does not practice this and have not had it at their school since the mid 90's. Most kids that are held back now are held back before they get to he 6th grade. I might be wrong but I think it might be illegal if you do it after the 5th grade. But I do know that if they are held back it is usually in the 5th grade or lower. The parents are the one's who make this decision and if they want to allow their kid to be able to grow and have an extra year of maturity both physically and mentally I think they have every right to do that.
