I know that one has just visited from Ohio, but he may be a longshot at best.

that quote has a bit of certainty to it. kind of shocking. I figured he would use muschamp as an excuse. we'll see.

The problem is, it really has nothing to do with the college. The problem is at his high school. Unless he goes somewhere else, this kid has to play it like he is.

I'm not saying anything like people were saying about Lorio. I have no personal opinion about this coach; I'm not making a judgement about him but the fact is that he can threaten any number of things including playing time, extra work, etc. All he can do is make his life miserable until after the season.

I'm sure his coach would ruin his reputation by screwing over his best player for choosing to decommit. That's plausible

Ryan Shazier just visited this weekend. He's an EE so we'll know something within a couple weeks.

He's visiting Ohio St and should make his decision right after that.

I doubt he is much worried about his reputation. Most Texas kids want to go to Texas anyways if given the opportunity.

All I said was that it's not completely the Texas coaching issue that was factoring into his situation.

You're not much fun around here over the past several months. Everything okay?

It's not an excuse though, it's just part of the equation. Fact is, lots of kids have to deal with positive and negative influences from their coaches and if all he has to do is pay lip service and keep things quiet to avoid any extra flack from his coach and/or community, so be it.

It's just one of the issues playing into this recruitment. You, yourself, know how complicated these decisions are for kids and their families.

Apparently Chet Moss' feeling after talking with Kendall Thompson was spot on. This is what Thompson just texted me...

"Yeah, me and Texas are good! 100 percent going to Texas!"

Kendall Thompson texted and said he's getting a visit from Texas tomorrow. He said he wasn't sure which coach is doing the visit, but keep in mind that Rucker's old territory was East Texas.

Trevon Randle - Already committed. Most feel he is underrated. Very good prospect at linebacker.

Ryan Shazier - It will be interesting to see what he does. He was committed to Florida, but then Meyer retired. Muschamp is a defensive guy and a great recruiter, so it will be interesting to see what he does. The depth at LB at Florida is unreal. Shazier could probably come here and play some as a Freshman IMO.

Denzel Perryman Would love to get him, but I don't think we land him.

Trey Granier 2012 linebacker that should be a really good one for us.
