LSU commit doin work in Jupiter, Florida
Per Prep Baseball Report:
The Sox improved to 3-0 after two victories Saturday. In its 6-1 win over Team Mizuno Puerto Rico, the Sox rolled out four arms that were 89-plus, highlighted by one of the day’s bigger revelations, 2019 RHP Farmer Abendroth (Warren Central HS, MS). Although he’s committed to LSU, the lanky 6-foot-5, 170-pound right-hander isn’t a well-known name around the national scouting community.
Abendroth likely changed that with his two-inning relief stint. Extremely long and rail-thin, Abendroth worked his fastball at 90-93 mph, sitting mostly at 90-91, with angle and occasional arm-side life. While he set hitters up with his lively fastball, he put them away with a hard 12/6 curveball that ranged between 78-80 mph. Abendroth recorded four of his six outs via strikeout, all of which came off his breaking ball.
Although he’s far from a polished product, his arm is quick and athletic coming out of a high-¾ slot. There’s some effort there, but he’s under control as he threw 69 percent strikes and didn’t issue a walk while surrendering one hit. Above all, he looks as though he’s only begun to scratch the surface of his immense potential as he continues to physically develop.

Play golf with his dad some...good family. They love them some LSU. Farmer is a passionate guy. Going to be a huge asset on and off of the field in that club house.
