When is it OK for me to plant hydrangeas in Baton Rouge? Is it still too hot?

And should I do old growth, or new growth, or a mix?

Are you planting potted or rooting cuttings from existing plants?

It will be potted. I haven't bought them yet because I wanted to get everything planned out first.

The plant vendors generally won’t sell pots unless it is okay to plant them…they want them to do well. I think it would be perfectly okay to plant them now….just did a large enough hole for the roots to expand and keep an eye on the moisture. You have got me thinking about planting some, now!
