I’m fixing to build a fence. I know cedar is straight and pretty, but it seems to crumble in 10 to 15 years. Treated pine can warp and shrink, but seems to last 25 years. What are the board’s thoughts?

My cedar didn’t last. New fence is PT pine that I put in a very hot shed for about 2 months to dry last summer. Thus, far it seems to have helped with the warping.

CedarShield spray is a game changer. It turns your wood fence to rock. I had to move a section recently and the fence guy said it was the hardest wood he’d ever seen. It was just cedar treaded with CedarShield.
