Small solar power setup for chicken coop

Anyone have a small solar power setup for a small shed? I’d like to set something up for my chicken coop/chicken tractor as I move it around the yard. Mainly just for lights, don’t need it to power anything like a heater or pump. If it ever get cold where I need that, I’ll pull it close enough to plug in.

Just powering 12v led lights on a switch you could go very simple. A 7ah feeder battery will run leds for several hours. Lithiums can be had for about $25, and you can go bigger if you want for not much more. A small 12v panel with a built in controller will keep the battery topped off pretty easily so long as you’re not trying to run a heater.

What he said. Just make sure controller is compatible w/ your battery type(Lion, LFP, LTO, lead-acid, etc.)

Thanks guys. This is what I’m looking for.
As far as lights, the coop has an attached walk in storage area so I’d like some lights for in there, maybe some flood lights, and a night light for outside the door. Any recommendations? Also, what kind or gauge of wire do I need?

Amazon lights are all about the same, just make sure they’re 12V and mount the way you want. If you do go with a nightlight make sure it’s pretty dim, or go up a few Ah in your battery size. Constant draw can add up especially if you have a couple shady days.
