Has anyone ever made their own for large plants? Yes, it's easy to just buy a large pot... but just trying to spark conversation. Looking at doing two large boxes/pot type at each corner of the house with water on a timer.

I am planning to build concrete planters on very small wheels this Summer for my patio. Found a few plans online, but it doesn't seem THAT hard.
Build the frame to the specs, mix concrete, fill. You put in drainage lines/holes and watering lines if you want.
I am sure it seems way easier than it is. My big worry is the concrete coming out looking shitty with air pockets, etc.

I may do the same and just add maybe some chicken wire. But for your worry.... just tap the side with a rubber hammer or even a palm sander to vibrant out the air bubbles.
