Plant ID needed

I have this stuff popping up randomly in the back yard. Found one growing up through one of my raised beds. Is this wild allspice?
Its got a hell of a root system. If you tug it from above the stem always breaks off below the soil. I have not had time to dig one up yet to see what it's root structure looks like.
