Ever had the front baffle get mangled in your mower blade?

Out of no where yesterday the metal baffle on my Toro/Honda motor pushmower somehow got loose or bent backwards and got completely mangled in the blade. fricking up the blade and ripping the metal baffle in half.
I order a replacement for both, but damn it scared me. Sounded horrible. I was just coasting in the middle of my lawn too, no bumps or anything.
Seems to be a relatively easy fix and cheap part, thankfully.

I have the same mower and the exact same thing happened to me about two weeks ago.
I had already planned to get a new mower after this cutting season so I just beat the hell out of it until the blade wasn't rubbing it anymore.
