AC issues due to snow storm?

Found my AC blowing warm air and the fan not spinning. I was running late for work so I figured I would just call my AC company and hope it is the capacitor like I think it is. I would wait till later and swap with my back up but I have someone staying with me. I make the call and they tell me they are swamped with calls as well as the other companies. Are that many people finding out their AC was damaged during the storm and subsequent melt?
