Site Enhancement - Floating menus

I think it would be really helpful if the left handed column on TD was a "floating" meanu. This means that as you scroll down the page in a thread, the left hand column containing the various boards stays at the top on the page, requiring the user to scroll back to the top (or clicking on the "back to the top" link) to return.
There is an easy CSS element that allows you to create a "floating" menu, meaning, essentially, that the menu stays with you as you scroll. Here's a random example from Forbes. Notice that as you scroll down the page, the column on the left stays with you.
If implemented, this would allow one to simply click on the board to which they wanted to navigate, without the need to return to the top of the page.
Plus, it looks cool.
