The avatar you sized for BRgetthenet is too large. The dimensions for avi's can be no larger than 150x150 and 30 kBytes. The one you sized is 225x150 which will get whacked if he tries to use it. This particular photo has to be sized at 150x100 for it to be in proportion to the original while remaining within the approved dimensions per the guidelines. I've re-sized it to the appropriate dimensions.
Also, the sig pic you made for RaginCajunsULL is awesome, but it's too large as well. The dimensions are correct, but it's 59.3kB. Sig images also have to be 30kB or less per the rules. I've optimized it for you getting it to 26.9kB.
I'm not picking on you, but avatars and sig pics have been getting whacked a lot lately for being too large. Some I've made for people have been removed because they had too many kB, so I've had to go back & optimize them. I've begun checking them now when I make them to be sure they're not too large & optimize them if necessary. The site I use to do that is Online Image Optimizer (tools.dynamicdrive.com) which gives several image size options and can also be used with an iPad or other tablets. It's really easy to use, as well. Just giving you a heads up for future pics.

I should of clarified, but its not for a sig, its just a header for my Off-season thread on Saints Talk.

Don't take this the wrong way but I know the guidlines for images here. I've made hundreds of sigs for people here and I size mine accordingly before uploading to the web. I use photoshop and use the save for web optimization tab that lets you adjust the image size (kb) before saving, so I dont know what you're seeing. I upload all my sigs at 29kb so if there is something that adds size to an image when uploading, then maybe you know something I dont. Otherwise the sig was fine. I still have sigs floating around here from years ago that I made using the same format and none have been whacked. Now, the avi is wrong. I uploaded the wrong image and didnt resave the size accordingly, but I assure you it was under 30 as well. But thanks for the little tutorial. Be safe out there kid.
You need to clarify better dickhead. You want me to redo it bigger just like the raiders one? I'll take care of it this afternoon if the smaller sig version wont suffice.

Well, I knew the sig looked too "professional" to be a beginner.
Yeah, the avi was just too large in dimensions, but was under 30kB. However, the original "sig pic", or whatever it's supposed to be now, was at almost 60kB when I put it in the image optimizer to check it, so Idk what the deal is there. I'm pretty adamant about checking them now since even 2 of my own were removed until I "shrunk" them, and a few others' sigs were whacked as well. Sentrius told me several times some of them were too large, but I'd still try to slip some by, not anymore.
So, did I do well "teaching"? Did you learn anything?

When I saw your join date & sig image, I figured you had done this before, but thought to be on the safe side, it'd be better to approach it the way I did instead of calling you out for being a lazy dumbass & you should know better since obviously this isn't your first rodeo.

And it's been a while since I've been called "kid," so thanks for that.

I put your sig image in the site I use, and it said the original pic was 39.0kB. It gives several other size options when you check the "show all results" box. I've given you the link for you to try it & see what I'm talking about. I don't know why it's showing a different size than what you've got set on your P'shop optimizer. It's probably something I'm doing, Idk. I just copied your pic and loaded it to my p'bucket account where I copied the direct link provided into the box for the URLs on the image optimizing site, then checked the "show all results" box & clicked "optimize." The difference might have something to do with uploading the images into my pbucket account? I'm not sure. Check it to see if you get the same result.

I use my iPad for most photoshopping done on td. I use Photoshop Touch because it's much easier for me to use a stylus. I have much more control & can use different sized tips for more intricate work. I hate my laptop and only really use it for "real work," and I just moved recently, as well, and don't even have my desktop PC hooked up yet. I'm about to purchase a 2 in 1 laptop/tablet, and cannot wait!!!
I haven't run into many problems using P'shop touch. It took a little getting used to, but after using it for a while, I've been able to figure out most things & can do most things with it that I can do on the lap or desktop. Although I've been photoshopping for a while now, I haven't been making avatars or sig images until recently. I think I'm better at the design & "artsy" part more so than the technical part. I haven't nearly mastered all of those skills, but thanks, and I can see by your one pic that you've got some rather good skills yourself!

I think I want a sig picture Arky.
What do I do? Submit the pictures here and you'll create the image? I've never done one before, never asked.

Sure. Just pick out whatever pics you want on it & post them here. Also, if you have a certain "theme" or "look" you want, let me know.

I was thinking of these with a golf course in the background, however you would want to arrange them so they look good:
Posted on 1/15/14 at 1:38 pm to Arkla Missy
It's kind of a golf theme. Maybe a picture of Tiger woods looking all drunk too somewhere in there.
Can ya make the background a golf course? Any one, it doesn't matter.
I'll look for the drunk Tiger picture.

I was thinking drunk tiger could flank the image on both sides with the phrase "18>14" over, or under, his drunk pic.

Good, I love funny, interesting ones.
And, yes, I can put a golf course in the background with drunk Tigers on either side.

Whatever you come up with will be great. The more hilarious the better. I'm mostly in the golf thread. A lot of it is inside jokes with those guys, but take whatever creative license with it you please.
