Is there away to reply the topic thread without going to the original post?

If you're on the last page of a topic and want to reply to the general topic as opposed to one of the replies do you have to go back to page one and hit reply to the original post?

It would be nice to have a "general reply" button at the bottom of the last page. If there is one, I can't find it.
