Got the stop sign when previewing my post

I was writing a post and got the stop sign three consecutive times when previewing. I did notice that it only happened when I had something inside of "<" and ">".

Specifically, I was using the quote function and put "Her Name" inside the signs as the first part of my quote. Once I took out the less than and greater than signs, I no longer got the stop sign.

Got the stop sign while trying to post this comment so I had to take the words out of the signs to post it
