Did the avatar regulations recently change?

I have had the same avatar for several years now, and I have had the gurus on the fark board set it up so that it meets regulations. I haven't recently changed it, but it is now blocked. I'm not sure what happened in the last few days to make it too large. My note from the admin reads that the avatar has "more than 150 pixels", or something like that.
Just curious as to if the avatar regulations changed, or what?
