car tag registration and inspection sticker

My car tag expires this month but I have a failed inspection sticker. Can I get my car tag and renew my registration at the dmv with a failed inspection sticker??

You don't need an inspection sticker to register your car. But you do need an up to date registration to get an inspection sticker.

cartag and registration is basically just a tax...pay the cash and you are good until next expiration...
