I can't get the admin message to go away and save a new avi pic. Logged into tinypic and hosted the image there but it still says it's not an approved site

Use Imgur image host instead.

Tried using imgr but I can't find the IMG link, only the direct one.

Are you logged in to your Imgur account and see the image you uploaded in the thumbnail(s)?
Like so:
Then clicked on the desired thumbnail and get the following options:
The direct link doesn't have an extension as jpg, png, gif, other? If it doesn't, copy the direct link and when you paste it, add .jpg or .png or whatever the extension is. Should work after that.
