Thought I would share here. It's been a game changer for me and turns protein powder into something a lot more fun to eat. It's labelled low calorie ice cream but I would say the consistency is more along the lines of a thick milkshake. Still, its really good(way better and cheaper than Halo Top) and really filling and I eat it like I would ice cream out of a bowl. These recipes yield a lot of product and I fill up 2 entire 36 ounce bowls.

The picture below shows(clockwise from top left): Banana Pudding, Pistachio Almond, Cookies and Cream, White Chocolate Peanut Butter. I've also made Butter Pecan, Chocolate Overload, Chocolate Peanut Butter, S'Mores and Cheesecake that are not pictured.

The recipe has the same base ingredients no matter what flavor:

-500 to 600 grams of ice(goes up to the 32oz line on my blender)
-5g of Xanthan Gum
-1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
-1 cup of water
-85 grams of fat free Fage plain unflavored greek yogurt
-5 grams of zero calorie sweetener(I use Truvia)

I place all those ingredients into a blender and blend down.

Then you go onto the flavoring.

Each recipe has two more base ingredients:

-1 scoop of protein powder of your choice. I have all kinds of flavors of protein. Most of them call for plain vanilla protein, but I do have S'Mores flavored protein that I use for my S'Mores flavor, and Cookies & Cream I use for my Cookies & Cream, and Chocolate Fudge flavor I use for chocolate based recipes.

-Half of a package of fat free, sugar free pudding mix. JELLO makes many flavors of fat free sugar free pudding mix, and its good for the gelatin that helps bind it all together. My butter pecan and banana pudding recipes use vanilla, my S'Mores, Cookies and Cream and White Chocolate Peanut Butter recipes use White Chocolate, my Chocolate Overload and Chocolate PB recipes use Chocolate, Pistacho Almond uses Pistachio, and Cheesecake uses Cheesecake.

This is the "base" and makes up 230 calories, and honestly it would be pretty good on its own. But, I like to add a little more if I have some more calories leftover to play with. Here are the extra ingredients I add by flavor:

Butter Pecan: 28 grams of Country Crock Lite Margarine(adds 70 calories), 18 grams of crushed pecans(adds 120 calories)

Pistachio Almond: 28 grams of sliced almonds(adds 170 calories)

Banana Pudding: 1 Medium Banana(Adds 105 calories), 25 grams of Nilla Wafers(adds 120 calories), Whipped Cream(Adds 15 Calories)

Cookies and Cream: 40 grams of crushed Oreo O's Cereal(Adds 140 Calories)

S'Mores: 30 grams of Crushed Graham Crackers(Adds 130 Calories)

Cheesecake: 30 grams of Crushed Graham Crackers(Adds 130 Calories), 2 ounces of fat free cream cheese(Adds 60 Calories)

White Chocolate Peanut Butter: 48 grams of powdered peanut butter(Adds 180 Calories)

Chocolate Peanut Butter:
15 grams of Hershey's Dark Cocoa Powder(Adds 30 Calories), 40 grams of powdered peanut butter(Adds 150 Calories)

Chocolate Overload: 15 grams of Hershey's Dark Cocoa Powder(Adds 30 Calories), 36 grams of Cocoa Pebbles Cereal(Adds 140 Calories)

Whatever additives I add, I usually add most of it to the blender and blend it all for 3 minutes until it gets fluffy, thick and creamy. It usually ends up going to the top of my blender(72 ounces). I then take it out and pour it into the bowl, and garnish with the remainder of the additional ingredients as you can see in the pictures.

It's been a game changer for me as its really filling, has a ton of volume, and gets rid of any sweet cravings you have. Takes protein powder to the next level. I had the Pistacho one last night and it was 430 total calories yet had me full. Fills up 2 of my 36 ounce bowls and takes me a while to eat it all.

You don’t need the yogurt to make this taste good. Protein powder, almond milk, ice and xanthum gum is all you need. All the rest are extra calories and garbage (pudding?). If you blend it long enough it will thicken.

Greg Doucette’s anabolic ice cream is all this is.
