My pushup routine

Since Jan. 2, I've been doing 350-400 pushups one day and zero the next. Repeat.
Is that an acceptable routine, or should I supplement it with other exercises or incorporate light weights somehow to prevent overcompensating or some injury from happening? I'm not trying to use heavy weights. That feels more like a chore.

So what is your goal? A 1000 a day?
Push-ups requires your chest, arms, and back muscles activating to complete the motion.
Do you have any free weights? Are you in a gym setting? What are you working with?

I'm at home and just trying to do the least amount possible to stay in decent shape. For some reason I never minded doing push-ups and push-ups never felt like a chore like other workouts or exercises.

Get a Journal and you will need to start tracking what you are doing. This is going to do 2 things: it will keep you honest and you'll be able to see your progress as you do this.
I would get something like this for home : LINK
Incorporating some strength training would do wonders. Switching between a Push and Pull exercise day.
Monday: arm workouts and pushups.
Tuesday: Chest workout, no pushups.(this is a push day)
Wednesday: Back workout and pushups.
Thursday: rest
Friday: repeat arm workout and pushups.
At least, this is what I would do
