Headed to the Phoenix Open next year. Seems early to start booking places but Super Bowl is in Glendale that weekend. Looking for advice on places to stay and maybe get a round of golf in while there TIA.

Stay in the Scottsdale area, not Glendale. The stadium is there but not the best part of Phoenix.
I went to the WMO on a Saturday with general admission tickets and will never do that again. Beer lines are 45 minutes long and sell 2 beers at a time and porta potty’s we’re roughly 15-20 minutes. Just bite the bullet and buy some sort of upgraded ticket to have somewhere to use the restroom and get drinks if you want to walk the course. You’ll have a much more enjoyable day that way.
That being said I still had a blast out there.
Golf will be very pricey. I lived out there for 3 years and the best kept secret on a course is the Aguila Golf course in south Phoenix, legacy is a quality course for the money but if you want to drop some money then troon north and we ok pa are my suggestions.

Boulders Resort and Spa. Play there also its in the ping commercial. Stay and play at Boulders, Scottsdale drive to Open, thats what I did and it was amazing. Was never tempted on Glendale by the reviews I read.

Boulders is some quality ish. Played my birthday round there during Covid and got paired with some players from the Blue Jays. I never thought I would ever see someone hit a 6 iron 265…it was glorious

Unfortanitly Boulders is booked, hopefully can get on the course. Lucked into suite tickets for next year, hopefully that will help avoid beer and bathroom lines.
