Playing Capital Hill all weekend next weekend, anyone have feedback there?
Also playing Old Toccoa in June with a trip to Sweetens and Macklemore as well but have played the two latter.
Any thoughts or heads up would be awesome for those two.

Capitol Hill is awesome. Pretty sure The Judge had its name thrown in the discussion for a US Open at one point. Not sure they have the infrastructure for it though

Alright, great courses, all with different styles and defenses.
Legislator: This is the easiest course, but not at all easy. The fairways are pretty big and the rough is reasonable. Most greens are three tiered, but a few seem like they have four. The greens are very soft. The Bermuda on the first couple holes has some bad spots of poa around the fringe, especially on the first hole. The area around the green can be difficult to chip from because the grounds keepers have a bad habit of letting the sprinklers run too long and it can get a little soggy. Lots of bunkers and trees everywhere. But it's not to difficult to recover from most areas. The back nine is definitely harder, especially 11,12,13. But you go right down onto the Alabama River and it's a very pretty back nine. Lots of wildlife back there, deer, turtles, hawks, etc. The putts like to break of that ridge which is actually one of the last foothills of the Appalachians. It's my favorite course out there.
The Senator is a very nice but is playing especially hard right now. They redid the greens last year and they are very firm. Approach shots need to be about 15 yards short of the pin unless you hit it really really high. The greens are playing really straight. I've played the senator three times this week and generally you want to aim for about half the break that it looks like. Sometimes putts aren't releasing on the downslopes like you'd think they would. There are only a few trees on the whole course and most of them are on #5. The senators defense is its rough. If you aren't driving it in the fairway you are gonna have a bad time. The deep rough is stupid high right now, and it's nearly impossible to hit out of that shite. There are lots of hills and bunkers throughout the course. I think they consider it "links style" but not a true links course. The par 5s are gettable. The par 3s are difficult. It's a good mix of long and short par 4s. You can definitely take some short cuts over the hills if you can hit your driver pretty good. Par is a good score on every hole.
The Judge is the prettiest of the three courses. It starts off with an epic downhill tee shot with water on both sides. The course is on the other side of the river and the views on most every hole are incredible. There is water on, I think, 14 of the holes, and that is the courses main defense. The greens play probably the fairest of any of the three. The putts are pretty straight. The course is very long. Some of the fives are ridiculously long. You might even want to consider playing up a tee box to make it more enjoyable. There are gators on hole 15 and sometimes on 18. Lots of deer back there too.
Dr Bronner has added some gold tee boxes to all the courses at capitol hill. If you've got some old guys in your group, I'd take advantage of those. DO NOT play the tips, those black tees are a joke. The purples are what most scratch guys will play and most resemble where they put the top level tournament tees.

Great detail, thanks a lot man.
Looks like I'm going to get my arse kicked on Senator.
