Was their guest on media day, really liked it, with Memorial and Gus for best public in the area. Curious to see how the zoysia does long term, also worried about the proximity to the river.

Have friends that played it a couple weeks ago, said it’s in great shape and was a fun track

I played a week ago. Awesome layout, amazing conditions, many 3 putts. I only have great things to say about it and wish I could play it frequently.

I also played Cypresswood (Tradition) in the same weekend, not knocking it but Highland Pines blew it out the water. It was also around the same green fee.

Layout wise Tradition is better and as good as anything in town but conditions always seem to leave a lot to be desired.

Finally got a chance to play this course on Friday. Great layout and really good conditions. Played it from the one ups, so the 230yd par 3 into the wind was fun. The greens roll true, but they are hard as a rock right now. It's nearly impossible to stop it close from around the greens. Took me 9 holes to sear into my brain that I needed to let it run out when chipping around the greens.

I'll be playing there again.

Played it this weekend. Absolutely a great course, very difficult in my opinion. Greens rolled about a 10.5-11 when I was there. Range was closed due to a light rain the night before, and we paid 135 a head so do keep that in mind. Otherwise, the course was excellent.
