Why doesn't my player start off in MLB spring training like last year?

Maybe he doesn't get an invite until after he shows something during season

Better than being too easy
my 08 rttts player hit 8 bombs in double a then 40 in aaa
my 09 rtts character played nearly 2 full seasons in the minors before breaking into the bigs in his third season where I hit like .227 with maybe 12 bombs in 300 ab
difficult is better
