Rocket league turning issues

So me and my partner play regularly and we just get off from playing 4vs4 and we’re killing it and everything feels fine. Then we switch over to 2s competitive like we do almost every night. All of a sudden we can hardly play missing balls left and right feeling like our cars are heavy and won’t turn properly. Is this a server problem or a glitch ?

I've got way too many hours wasted playing this game. Unfortunately I've come to the conclusion that it is simply rigged with DDA like most games these days. Not nearly as bad as a game like Fifa but it's there. A lot of times the servers are garbage but that doesn't explain heavy car, hitting the posts repeatedly and weird physics defying bounces. It's subtle in this game but it's there. Nothing you can do about it.

Happen only once or every time you switch over to 2s?
I'll say that, especially if it happened to both of you just this one night, it's likely just in your heads. We all like to make excuses for why we're sucking and missing every shot when we have those days
. Heavy car was/is a glitch from early in the game, but it was always rare and not a whole game thing, just certain movements.
I did have an issue for a while where I felt everyone else would accelerate faster than I possibly could. Convinced myself I was just doing something wrong. But turned out my controller's R2 was messed up and only registering ~85%. Could be a similar thing with the turning, but would be odd to hit both of you at the same time.

It was more than once and the other time we weren’t coming from 4s and it again felt like something wasn’t right when we go to turn and break to get in position and trying to make ANY cut on the ball seemed ridiculously hard that usually ended in a horrible miss. We both were confused about what was happening
