Recieved the PS3 back on Friday afternoon.
I unboxed it, very well packaged from the shipper btw, and hooked it back up to the tv.
First thing, no YLOD . It requires a system update. So, I let it download and install the system update. No troubles, during this time. Ra nfor aprox 45 minutes for the update.
I then pop in MW2. Disk boots fine, connects t othe server and I start a domination game. 10 seconds into the game a warning flashes in the top right hand corner saying the system is overheating. 5 seconds later it cuts off by itself.
I wait a minute and turn it back on, exact same results. It will stay on until I start a game, (this is when it starts to read the disk, I can hear the disk drive start to spin) If I dont start a game, I dont have any trouble.
I moved the system, did everything I can think of to help it run cooler, with no change.
So, I emailed the guy that just repaired it and described my problem. He immediately emailed my a UPS shipping label and told me to return it so he could look into it.
So far, I give a thumbs up for his customer service and communication. But we will have to wait and see if he actually gets my system fixed before he gets an endorsment.
