In a pretty good rivalry game UAB took a 1st half lead 35 - 20 after a couple offensive TDs, a KO return for a TD and a pick 6, only to see Memhis come roaring back to tie it up at the half 35 all but UAB held Memphis scoreless in the 4th and scored the winning TD to win 42 - 35

My D is terribly young this year, I used my 2nd string QB for most of the game though after a poor 1st quarter of the season performance lol and he did well 16 - 30 for 290 yds and 2 TDs, my D came to play today with 3 INTs, both S had 1) and 4 sacks (2 by my NG Jewel Christian)

UAB is on a 2 game win streak and 2-0 in C-USA play

I saw that too. I have my eye on you and your impermissible benefits. And you better know that i'm a master of the bump rule.

I'll get my game in tonight against ASU.

I'm going out of town this weekend and won't be back until Monday. If the league needs to advance on Sunday, put me on auto and let Hammond beat the hell out of cpu UCLA.

Hammond - it seems as if we are destined to not actually play each other after last year's inadvertent advance before the nc game, and now my friend's wedding. Maybe the Pac-12 title game?

Actually, I'd rather play you so I don't mind waiting. Yall consider my title game tainted so this time I want to win it outright.

Why don't y'all just play tonight or tomorrow? Assuming it's possible for both.

It's not this week's game. It's week 7 after the next advance.

Few thoughts on my matchup with week:

The 3-0 Troy Trojans travel to Knoxville for an 11:00 kickoff with the 2-2 Tennessee Vols.

These two teams both rely on their QB to guide them down the field as they are each ranked in the top 15 in pass offense.

Troy QB Corey Robinson has Heisman aspirations and feels that if he can put up big numbers against an SEC oppenent, he may receive some national recognition.

Tennessee is very talented on defense, but you wouldn't be able to tell. They have given up at least 27 points in every game they have played this season, including against North Texas.

On the flip side, Troy is feeling extremely confident on defense as they are ranked #2 overall. Maybe even a little too confident. They are headed into what will be their toughest environment this season as more than 100k+ are expected to be on hand.

The Troy coaching staff is hoping the skies will be clear and sunny because it has rained in every game they have played so far.

Kickoff is next!

ETA: Raining

Halftime

Troy 7
Tenn 10

Tennessee is dominating the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. And their secondary is scary good. It's far from over. but it will be tough second half.

Pizza man just got here though, so it'll be an extended halftime.

Troy wins in OT

Troy 31
Tenn 28

Ugly game for me, but thrilled to pull out the win.

QB Corey Robinson 14-32 269 yards 3 TD 2 INT

RB Shawn Southward 310 all purpose yards 1 TD

WR Justin Albert 4 catches 127 yards 1 TD

Ready for Middle Tennessee St next week.

ETA: And I just realized the game against Tennessee was a regional broadcast on tv. Must've been on SEC Network. Now i'm even happier because my recruits were able to watch the game and so were Tennessee's fans.

I hate Tennesse btw, Rocky top!
