I just moved my PS3 to a new TV and it's on a shelf on my entertainment center and I'm noticing that the fan is really blowing hard and the PS3 is kinda warm. I've never really noticed this before in the old room. So is there anyway to stop this, because if I leave the ps3 in here there really is no other spot for it. I see they sell fans and such but i'm not sure one will fit in this spot.

How is the ventilation? If it is surrounded by walls all of a sudden, it will need to run to keep it cooler. Or, your fan could be going out in which case it will probably overheat.

yeah it's now kinda enclosed. just about 4 inches on each side. I'm not worried that it will overheat really but I can see the noise being a problem while watching a movie

Bust some holes in the cabinet behind it and you will be fine.

"Bust some holes in the cabinet behind it and you will be fine."

It's a pretty nice piece of furniture so I'll refrain from demolishing it.

Anyway I tried it again last night and had no fan blowing at all. So maybe it was just the inital shock of the move.
