That's awesome.

I'll definitely make sure that I like it but a mouse will probably be low on my upgrade list unless I have issues with this one, which it seems like I won't since stout and Gardoki use it without problems. My first upgrade might be a SSD but it won't be for a while.

I don't mind the dentist but if I had an experience like that then it might change my mind. Why didn't he at least put a cap on it? That's strange

Right on. It was one of my first priorities because Im super competitive and I like having the best tools for the job but Im sure its partly psychological in knowing that I have inferior products compared to my competitors.

Yeah I don't blame you for wanting the best if you are real competitive. I used to be but I've become more casual, although I do plan on playing games a lot with my PC. Haven't played Xbox much at all this year because of a tough semester and lack of games I want.
Thanks for the help. I'm confident that you guys as well as my friend helped me build a badass PC.
Just wondering, how does it compare to the hardware in the new consoles?

Like I said I haven't been able to use it a lot but you shouldn't have problems.

Apples to oranges kind of but probably about on par, maybe even a little ahead

Good enough for me. I've been console gaming for my whole life so if at worst I have a machine that performs as well as brand new consoles with cheaper games, more functions, and tons of mods, then I'm pumped.

You're in good shape and the GPU in the consoles is comparable to the 7790 so you have them beat in that read. You have twice to storage and I would say that your CPU is still going to be better. The only real thing that is cool about either of them( to me anyway) is that then ps4 is using 8gb of ddr5 shared system memory. We currently only have ddr5 for our GPUs only.

Plus in about a year you can upgrade and be way ahead

Posted on 6/15/13 at 11:05 pm to Mr Gardoki
Yep, that's why I built cheap initially because I knew that I would start upgrading in a couple of months because I'm never satisfied.

That's why I keeps looking too
I bought a laptop in the fall to game on, then decided to get a monitor for it, then built a pc in march, now I'm looking to upgrade the pc... It never stops...

I love getting a new box from new egg. Comparing the old stuff against the new stuff. It doesn't matter if its a GPU or that thermal paste.

It's addicting, yet I never have time to actually play. That's probably why I am always looking at upgrading, keeps me into it even if I can't use it.

I subscribed to the newegg newsletter for any new deals, so I'm already starting down the dark path of constant upgrades.
My eventual med school debt will probably prevent it, though.

Yea but then you can go make money afterwards and support it
Posted on 6/15/13 at 11:17 pm to Mr Gardoki
Yeah I'll probably go all out once I start getting paid.

Posted on 6/15/13 at 11:17 pm to Mr Gardoki
I know exactly what you mean. I typically work a 55 hour week but that's about to change in August when I start college again. I have a super flexible work schedule so its not like I'm forced to be there that long but I just do it to horde money. I can work 25 hours if I wanted.

Where are you going and what are you going back for?
Posted on 6/15/13 at 11:21 pm to tehchampion140
Yo, sign up for neweggs shoprunner service. Its like amazon prime except for new egg. Free 2 day shipping and whatnot. Free 30 day trial and when you go to cancel it(because its like $80 a year) they extend it for another 90 days. I've heard that they extend it again but I haven't ran up on my 90 days yet.
