Idk if this is the right place to post this but I will give it a shot. I am leaving for china next week and am wanting something that will play videos and music. The Zune 30GB I know has a bigger screen but i heard is hard to put videos on. The ipod nano has a tiny screen and the classic is only a little bit bigger. But if Ipod is the best and only way then that will be the way I will go. Your advice is well appreciated.

I have an 80gb ipod classic, I ripped about 40 movies and used dvd shrink to compress them and cut out all the crap. It woked for my purposes which are basically the same as yours.

I think I would have rather had the new zune hd though.

Zune marketplace and customer service are a pain in the arse to deal with.

There are constantly problems with the marketplace, particularly with purchasing songs and burning CDs, and they are hardly ever addressed by Microsoft Employees. It seems like they don't really care about their own product anymore.

I'll be switching back to iPod and iTunes shortly. There was a time when Zune was better, and that time has passed.
