Long shot here, but I know we have a diverse group and some north Atlanta residents that might have insight on Canton area restaurants.

We are moving up that direction in June and going up there tomorrow.

Looking for recs. Mex, Thai, and just in general.

We have been to Goin Coastal and Downtown Kitchen.

TIA

I love Taco Mac, but I am pretty aware of a giant ATL chain.

Actually went to the first one back in 1982 in Virginia Highlands when it was only 2-3 years old. Awesome place.

That's right!

Although I lived half time in Tucker and half in Savannah until last summer.

Now I live in the culinary paradise where Lawrenceville, Grayson and Snellville come together.

Wife had a dr. appointment in Canton not too long ago and I ran out for a quick bite at Taqueria El Don. Strip mall dump but, man, the food was delicious.

I looked it up because I have heard there is no good Mex in the area. This one is in Acworth.

Maybe a different one?

I'm in the area, but don't really have a ton to offer outside of these two.

Just aren't a ton of good local options. Williamson Bros. BBQ is pretty decent. R&M Sandwich Shop downtown is really good, if you're looking for a lunch spot. Provino's is really good Italian, if you've never been to one. They're a small chain.

Forgot to mention that one. Been there a couple of times. Pretty decent is how I'd describe it too.
Dark as a nightclub in there though.

shite, you're right. Her appt was in Woodstock, not Canton. The restaurant is right on the line between Acworth and Woodstock.

Nevermind...I've got nothin' for Canton
