hmmm, seems fishy. There's asterisk next to "unlimited" for disk space and bandwith. Charging only $2.99 a month and giving the user the ability to take up all the space on the server just doesn't seem right, not to mention flooding it with bandwidth.
I couldn't find any notes that the asterisks were referring to though, so I got no idea what the catch is.

they use linux for virus protection is it good? also whats the best hosting service?

linux is the operating system their servers run on.
I use mediatemple.com The deal I get however, is no longer available. I think they're more oriented towards businesses now. It's a really great service fwiw though.
I couldn't tell you what the best is, there's a shite load of them out there, and since I've been happy with my provider, I haven't even looked in over two years. I would however, be a little leery of a service that's only $2.99 It may work and be cheap, but they have to cut corners somewhere, and it's probably in customer service and quality imo.
