hey guys! sorry if i'm putting this in the wrong spot; i'm a newbie here. actually, allow me to introduce myself: i'm vtdad's daughter. he's really enjoying his new farking hobby and says you all have been great in helping him along the way. he's gotten me into it a little bit, and i have a question for you, if i may.

what program(s) and file formats do you use when creating an animated gif from a video clip? i have one i'd like to trim down and put on loop, but am having trouble finding a program that won't lose a lot of the video's quality or make it tiny sized.

tia!

I use AVS ( LINK ) to convert, edit and/or dump frames for the type of project you are talking about. I purchased a licence for it years ago and it works great for small stuff. All the programs/updates fall under the licence.

Text: yes, images: no. Any work like that I use Adobe ImageReady and produce a animated GIF image. Others use GIMP/GAP, which is freeware.

Read through the Teach a man to Fish (Fark Board Beginner Questions) thread ( LINK ) and that will help you get started. Post any further questions in that thread and someone will help you out.
