Long time lurker and I promise to keep posting less! I have been trying find, for the past week, to find a program that's intuitive to use, not too difficult to learn and doesn't try to lock you into a yearly subscription+ contract before you can evaluate your prompt. Who knows if you can accomplish what you want?

HEP ME please!

For general AI use — including generating images for posts or forums like Fark Board — you can try ChatGPT free first. If you end up using it heavily, the paid Plus plan is around $20/month in the U.S. with no annual contract.

The best tool really depends on what you want to do (images, writing, coding, video, research, etc.).
Take a look at this collection of AI tools by Matt Wolfe.

Thanks for the response. When I first started looking, it was very confusing and all I was focused on was finding something to learn AI with. But, with the many options out there, I decided to look at the text to video programs. Lot of choices there but I'm going to give it a try using Runway Gen 3. Lot of user support groups and the documentation on the company website is actually not bad. It's like the company actually wants you to use their products. One YT vide even shows you how to use chatgpt to write your prompts.Should be fun now that I have some direction.

Thanks for your help!

I looked around a while back for some options. Here's the research:

If you’re looking for simple tools to play around with photos and videos, you don’t need the expensive, professional AI platforms. The most fun options are the easy, consumer-level apps built for quick creativity. Pika Labs is great if you want to generate short, playful video clips or experiment with effects. CapCut is the best all-around editor for casual videos, memes, captions, and the fast-paced humor you see on Twitter and TikTok. Canva is perfect for quick graphics, memes, and simple videos, and Meta’s tools are good for quick, lighthearted clips.

All of them have strong free versions, so you can try things out without spending anything. For most people, the easiest combo is generating something fun in Pika Labs and then polishing it in CapCut. It’s a simple way to make creative, funny content without needing professional software or a big learning curve.
