14) Lacerated Line Dancers

Last Season Record 31-128-1 (14th place)
Best Players: Knox, Kuzma, Wiggins, Warren, Barrett, Hunter, Cam Johnson, PJ Wahington

Off-Season Additions: RJ Barrett, Deandre Hunter, Cam Johnson, PJ Washington

The good news: this team was able to drop 4 trash players and replace them with 4 rookies in Barrett, Hunter, Cam, and Washington. This team finished in 14th place last season and projects to finish last again. This franchise was set back eons when it traded away Luka Doncic for a package centered around Kris Dunn last off-season. At least Kris Dunn is still on Knat’s roster - but i am not sure how long Dunn stays on the Bulls roster. The best hope for this team is that Barett, Knox, Kuzma, and Deandre Hunter all hit big. As I write this today, however, I don’t like the long term fantasy prospects of Barrett, Hunter or Knox. Of the three, I think Barrett has the best chance of fantasy success. He definitely has the easiest path to big playing time. I think Hunter will be a better real life player than fantasy player. At best, this team might have 3 top 100 players - I think he will wind up with 2 in RJ Barrett and Warren. This franchise should be looking to acquire as many draft picks as possible in hopes of landing some of the top prospects in 2020 (Nico Mannion, Anthony Edwards, Lamelo, etc.)

13) G$

Last Season Record 59-100 (10th place)
Best Players: DLO, Bagley, Vuc, Nurkic, Favors
Off-Season Additions: Bol Bol, Okafor, Little

I love DLO, Bagley, and Vuc. Bagley is in for a breakout season this year in Sac town - especially with the departure of WCS. I think Bagley could average around 18ppg and 9 rpg. Vucevic was a 2nd round player last year and we will have to see how DLO performs in Golden State. He should still be able to eat and be a top 40 player while Klay is out. Losing Nurkic to that devastating leg injury was a blow and he remains without a time table to return. As this franchise is likely to finish in the bottom end of the rankings, I wouldn't be surprised to see Vuc get moved as G$ attempts to get younger and acquire more assets. DLO and Bagley gives G$ some nice players to build around if Vucevic were to be moved.

Oh and Nikola Mirotic signing overseas was a blow. Nikola Mirotic signs with Euroleague

12) PCT:

Last Season Record: 104-56 (3rd place)
Best Players: Sexton, Sabonis, Durant, Klay, Oladipo, Rui, Garland, Colby White
Off-Season Additions: Durant, Oladipo, Klay, Rui, Garland, Colby White, Sexton, Sabonis

Port finished the regular season in 3rd place last year after making a bunch of deals in an attempt to compete. This franchise went for it - but things didn't fall his way last season. Realizing that his team was getting older and likely not able to contend with the top teams in this league, Port hit the reset button. He brought in Durant, Oladipo and Klay - all of whom are big question marks for next season. Port isn't playing for next season though so he can comfortably wait on these three guys. He was also able to draft Rui, Colby White and Darius Garland. Of the three I like Rui the most. Port has a lot of options as next off season gets near. He could move his young guys and compete with a team built around KD, Oladipo, and Klay. Or he could ship them off for more young guys and draft picks as he builds around the pups he has on the team already. As it pertains to this season, Port has Sabonis, Sexton and his rookies to trot out on a nightly basis. Oladipo should be back by December and for this reason I give Port the slight edge over G$.

11) Flaming Pile of shite: Last Season Record 33-125-2 (13th place)
Best Players: Trae Young, Lauri, Jayson Tatum, Herro, Bam, Zhaire, Simons, Bitadze
Off-Season Additions: Trae, Lauri, herro, Simons, Bitadze

The only players on this roster last season with any potential was Jayson Tatum and Bam Adebayo. Both of these guys struggled last season. For Tatum, he followed too much of Kobe's advice. He settled for too many jumpers and practically never tried to get to the hole. Adebayo was buried on the depth chart behind Whiteside and Olynyk. This season, both Tatum and Adebayo are expected to have bounce back/break out seasons. This franchise could have drafted Zion - perhaps the most coveted fantasy basketball rookie since Lebron James (and maybe Luka Doncic). Some may have disagreed with the decision to trade away Zion, but this franchise did get a pretty good haul in return in Lauri and Trae Young. Trae young finished the season on a tear and showed his high upside potential. If he can improve on the fg%, Trae could be a 3rd round type player as early as this season. Lauri also needs to improve on the efficiency side to reach his potential. I also love the additions in Simons and Bitazde. Simons has break out potential as early as this season as the first guard off the bench for Portland; and Bitazde is a name to watch down the road in Indy. In a very short time with new ownership this franchise has gone from having little to no hope (thanks 21Jumpstreet) to a pretty bright future.

10) Boom:
Last Season Record 96-61-3 (7th place)
Best Players: Conley, Harden, Lowry, Zach Collins

Boom snuck into the playoffs last season - but I think the slide in rankings continues this season. A franchise that prides itself on making the playoffs every season misses the playoffs this season. Harden is a top 5 fantasy asset - and he is arguably the #1 fantasy player in the league. But he can't do it alone. Harden's dominance as the top player in fantasy is in question with the addition of Russell Westbrook. There simply isn't enough talent on this roster to carry Boom to the playoffs. Conley and lowry are typically 3rd round players and I expect them to continue being 3rd/4th round assets. To my knowledge, Boom made no real additions to his roster this off-season. He traded both of his draft picks last season. I like Conley moving to Utah and I think Zach Collins is primed for a break out season in Portland. But aside from those three + Lowry, there isn't a whole lot to love about this roster. I realize Harden will have to be pried from Boom's dead cold hands, but I think moving Harden for young pieces & draft picks is the move needed to return this franchise to playoff relevance.

9) Droppin Dimes:
Last Season Record 84-74-3 (9th place)
Best Players: CP3, PG13, Kevin Love, Ayton, Culver, John Wall, Randle, Brogdon, ingram
Off Season Additions: Gafford, Diallo, Grant Williams, Culver

Droppin Dimes finished in 9th place last season and projects to finish in the same place this season. CP3, Love and Wall are on their last legs of fantasy relevance. Wall is expected to miss the entire upcoming season. PG13 will likely miss games to begin the season as he recovers from shoulder surgery. However, this team does have some young players to build around in Ayton, Culver and Williams, Randle and Ingram. We still don't know what type of player Brandon Ingram will become. He has showed flashes of brilliance at times but is often very inconsistent. For whatever it is worth, I'm still a believer. The most valuable player on this roster is PG13 and I think it is likely PG13 could be on the move if the price is right.

8) Westworld:
Last Season Record 74-86 (10th place)
Best Players: Shai, Dmitch, Ja Morant, J rich, Capela, Lavert
Off-Season Additions: Sekou, Lavert, Shai, Nickiel Alexander Walker

Last season Westworld finished in 10th place. I project them improving that rank by 2 spots this season. Off-season additions include Sekou Doumboya, NAW, Shai, and Lavert. Long term I love Sekou, NAW and Shai. Shai's break out will probably come in 2020 so long as CP3 is in town. Same can probably be said for Sekou and NAW. NAW showed a lot of promise in summer league this summer and many teams in this league may regret passing on him. Sekou will likely get 12-15 minutes per game as the season goes on. D-mitch will likely break out this season with Conley in town. His efficiency should improve if Conley handles the ball to set up D-mitch. J-Rich, Capela, and Lavert along with D-Mitch are likely enough to keep this team relevant and fighting for one of the final playoff spots. I am not too worried about Westbrook's impact on Capela's numbers. Lavert should continue to bounce back from his horrific ankle injury last season and is in prime position to do so playing next to Kyrie without KD. This is a team that has a chance to sneak into the playoffs depending on the progress of Morant, Shai and Lavert.

7) Papp
Last Season Record 49-110-1 (11th Place)
Best Players: Fox, Mccollum, Covington, Valanciunas, John Collins, Dejounte, Isaac
Off Season Additions: Mccollum, Isaac, John Collins, Jaxson Hayes, Reddish

This is one of the teams I expect to make a big jump in the rankings this season. So much so that I expect Papp to make the playoffs after finishing last season with a record of 49-110-1. Why the big jump for this franchise? Their off-season additions of CJ McCollum, Jonathan Isaac, and John Collins. Isaac is primed to break out after growing and gaining muscle. Isaac reportedly weighs 234 lbs and stands 7 feet tall. Last season Isaac was 6'10 and played around 207 lbs. John Collins was a walking double double last season after returning from his ankle injury - the main reasons Collins was not a top round asset was his lack of stocks. Collins has it in him to improve on this and I expect him to this season. A core of Fox, Isaac, John Collins and McCollum is likely enough to secure a playoff spot this upcoming season. Looking beyond this upcoming season, this franchise has a bright future ahead of it.

6) FLT:
Last Season Record 98-60-2 (6th place)
Best Players: Jrue, J murray, Gordon Hayward, Dray, Aldridge, Horford, WCJ
Off-Season Additions: Ty Jerome, Lamarcus Aldridge, Rubio, Gallinari

Assuming Aldridge and Horford continue to play well and stay healthy, this team is a strong candidate to make the playoffs again. Jrue Holiday should be a 2nd round player with the departure of Anthony Davis. In order for Jamal Murray to make another leap he needs to improve his assists and steals. The steals is the more likely way for Murray to improve so long as Jokic is in town. Draymond will do what he does and provide 4th/5th round value. The player on this team with the most break out potential is WCJ. He showed flashes of promise last season but his season was derailed with an injury. WCJ has some Al Hoford potential in him. If WCJ breaks out like some people expect, FLT could finish the season even higher in the rankings by the end of the season.

5) Jail Blazers:
Last Season Record 99-61(5th place)
Best Players: Dame, Hield, Prince, Drummond, Gobert, Derozan, Mitch Rob, Blake, Clarke
Off-Season Additions: Derozan, Blake Griffin, Brandon Clarke, Chuma Okeke, Bruno Fernando, Kevin porter

I thought Thom was toast when KD went down in the finals in June. To the rescue came Port when he agreed to trade for KD in exchange for Derozan and Blake Griffin. This was a trade that made sense for both teams. Port was attempting to hit the reset button. Thom wanted to stay relevant and continue competing for the playoffs. Mission accomplished. Lillard was a first round player last season and is projected to have a similar finish this season. Drummond and Gobert are a nice fit together for blocks and rebounds. Derozan and Blake Griffin are consistent 4th-5th round players that will likely help this team made the playoffs again. Thom also have 2 young players with tremendous upside in Mitchell Robinson and Brandon Clarke. Robinson has been drafted as early as the 2nd round in some leagues. Personally, i think that is a little high - but if he returns on this investment Thom could be a sleeper for a title run.

4) David Copafeels:
Last Season Record: 100-58-2 (4th place)
Best Players: Jaylen Brown, Lebron, Kat, Jokic, Gary Harris, Middleton
Off-Season Additions: Luka Samanic

Last season Cwill finished in 4th place. I have them projected to finish in 4th place again this year - with one caveat. If Lebron stays healthy and is not a victim of load management this season, C will could easily finish in the top 3. A big three of Lebron, KAT, Jokic rivals any big three in this league. He finished in second place two years ago with this big 3. Outside of the big three, this team needs Gary Harris to stay healthy and a break out from Jaylen Brown, which is possible with the departure of Kyrie. Concerns about Lebron & Gary Harris and a lack of depth has this team ranked slightly outside of the top 3.

3) MWG:
Last Season Record 104-55-1 (2nd place)
Best Players: Steph, lavine, Kawhi, Zion, JJJ, Ben Simmons, Aaron Gordon
Off Season Additions: Zion

This team finished the season in 2nd place last year. If it weren't for injuries and players getting rest in the fantasy finals, he could have easily been the champion. This team is deep and loaded with a nice mixture of vets (Steph & Kawhi) and young players with sky high upside (Zion, JJJ, Ben Simmons). If Zion is as good as advertised from Day 1 and rumors of improvement on Ben Simmons' outside shite are true, this team could easily be #1. If MWG doesnt finish this season as champion, he could easily be the favorite in 2020 with all the young talent on this roster. The main move MWG made was trading Anthony Davis for Zion Williamson. He wanted his guy and he went and got him. The price was steep but MWG was willing to pay it. Long term it was probably the right move - but in the short term MWG is ranked just outside the top 2. This is one of the few teams in the league with three-four first round picks on the roster in start up dynasty leagues (Steph, JJJ, Zion, Kawhi).

2) Nonetheless
Last Season Record: 75-81-1 (8th place)
Best Players: Russ, Luka, Giannis, Jeremi Grant, Jarrett Allen, Kemba, Anthony Davis
Off Season Additions: Russell Westbrook, Kemba, Anthony Davis, Thybulle, Musa, Keldon Johnson

Like Papp, Nonetheless is the other team projected to make the playoffs this season that missed the playoffs last year. After a slow start to the season, None finished the year with a record of 45-19 after January 6. This was in large part due to the returns of Lauri Mark, John Collins, and improved play from Luka Doncic and Trae Young. This off-season Nonetheless decided to make a run for a championship by trading away Trae, Lauri, John Collins and Myles Turner and bringing in Russell Westbrook, Kemba Walker, and Anthony Davis. Russell Westbrook and Kemba ranked as 2nd round players in 8 category leagues last season. And AD, when healthy, is a top 3 fantasy player. Pairing these recent additions with a team that already consisted of Giannis and Luka Doncic gives this team a chance to compete for a championship this season and beyond.

1) Frat Daddy:
Last Season Record: 104-54-2 (League Champion)
Best Players: kyrie, beal, butler, siakam, embiid, booker, myles turner
Off-Season Additions: Myles Turner, Seth Curry, Carson Edwards

Frat is the league champion and enters the season ranked as the favorite again. This team is deep, talented, and has room to improve even more. Booker, Embiid, and Myles Turner have not hit their ceilings yet. The only notable change for this team is adding Myles Turner and losing Kemba Walker. Time will tell if the departure of Kawhi helps or hurts Siakam. I am in the camp of thinking it helps Siakam. He faired well last season in the games that Kawhi missed. Beal is primed to be a 1st round player with Wall set to miss the upcoming season. Kyrie should continue to be a top player as well in his new home with the Brooklyn Nets. If there is one thing that could derail Frat's attempt to repeat as champion, it is injuries. Kyrie, Beal, and Embiid all have a history of injuries. They all stayed relatively injury free during the season last year. If they all remain healthy, I expect Frat to repeat as champion.
