At this point is the consensus whether LB comes back or not JC is RB1/ RB2?

I own Conner so may be wihsful thinking, but I don't see how you earn any respect (as a coach or org) playing a guy that has sat out this far into the season and likely won't be with the team next year. Given his backup has been solid and has rushed for over 100 in his last 4 games.
