Why have qbs score 500?

yeah we do .25 and are all in unanimous agreement that that is enough. You get 1-2 extra points for the game which is often meaningful enough in close weeks without completely skewing it by piling on the extra points.

ok...

I will take my "boring" league over one that cheapens the scoring system buy giving points to catch 1 yard bubble screens or a 3 yard out...or even a play that is dropped for a loss.

We don't really have a standard league per say just would never go full PPR.

Ain't nobody scoring 500 points.

But why not have QB being the top scorers?

I believe the top-7 scorers from last year in standard scoring leagues (4 pt per TD pass, non-PPR) were QBs.

So, they are.

I'm in a PPR league where QBs score 6 pts for TDs and get .3 for completions. RBs are standard except they get .3 pts per carry. WRs get 2 pts per 10 yards.

My point being, it doesn't matter bc it's the same for everyone. You just have to adjust.

Whose pick is it?

we keep ours as simple as possible

10 yards per point rush/receiving with 2 pt bonus at 100 which gives you 12 points (or 2 tds) at 100 yds which is considered the milestone

30 yards per point passing with 2 point bonus at 300 which gives you 12 points (2 tds) at 300) yds which is considered the milestone

all tds (including individual kick return) 6 points

.25 ppr
all fgs 3 pts
-2 all turnovers
fractional scoring

Why not give 1 pt for every 25 yards passing..which means 300 yards equals 12 points…or 2 TDS.

In this scoring system..you are saying the difference between 299 yards passing and 300 yards is actually 50 yards. Makes little sense.

You're looking at it wrong

100 yards rushing =10 pts
300 yards passing = 10 pts

All fractional points.

You the two points for actually hitting the threshold. As for missing out at 299...thats too bad. The bonus is coming from hitting the nfl benchmark. On the highlights they have always listed the 100 yd rbs/wrs and 300 yard qbs not those that just missed.

I could get behind that

.5 ppr though

I have another mock slow draft to do in 10 days and would like to finish one before I start another.

...And I'd like to do as much as I can while I have this stomach bug

I could maybe be persuaded to go to. 5 ppr. I like the . 25.
It's just enough to make short catches mean something in the grand scheme of things when combined with the yardage without overkill imo. I can see how people like full ppr in the way they enjoy shootouts though.
