Draft a team you don't have to change roster for every week.

like we said, this is set forget. no moves allowed

Lets lock FAs too. Just go with what we draft for the season.
Also not everyone has to participate. If only 10 people want to do it then we will just ignore the other 2 teams in the standings.

I agree but we would need to set their lineups during bye weeks...

not so much
commish locks FAs(no pick up/drops)
commish locks trades
manage your team with what you drafted

Or we could just base the best draft on total points at the end of the season.

what i'm saying is what if you face st. augs unmanaged team week 1 and face a full squad, then I face him week 7 or whatever when a couple of his dudes are on bye. someone would need to move someone from the bench to the starter spots so I don't get an unfair win. It could be as easy as starting the guys with the highest projected points...

Only way ill play

Ignore matchups and just tally your starters score each week. That will deal with drafting 3 QBs as well
Someone could post the standings manually each week. Wouldn't be that hard

That's why you do total points for the entire season and not H2H matchups.

set up the league with the mock draft rosters
a week before the season, everybody set their 1 roster for the whole season
commish locks all moves, including lineup changes
set it up as a points league
starting roster with most total points in week 16 gets $120

Fine with me. Total points it is. Still need to set line ups but will get rid of the head to head against a non-participator problem...

Then why draft bench players. I say the only thing you can change is starters each week. If you don't start a stud one week b/c of a match up and he goes bizerk then you are SOL
I realize that's managing issues and not draft but what about injuries etc. that's when drafting solid bench players comes into play...

quote:This and I suggest that we just draft starters, i.e. 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 DST, and 1 K. 6 pts all TD's, standard scoring. I can go for this!

Set line up at beginning of season and only allowed to slightly alter if someone gets injured?
No line up changes other than that... even for bye weeks.

Because your bench matters for bye weeks and injuries.
Later in the season you might decide that your round 9 pick is outperforming your round 6 pick and you can put him in. We're drafting teams based on if we were playing for real, but we're not, but we kind of are. Get it?
