It has been a long time since I had a sense of hope for our country. I am feeling it again today. I'm reminded of our founding fathers and the extreme sacrifices they made and the foresight they had when this country was established. In short, they were geniuses guided by divine intervention.

They came from different backgrounds and social status. They banded together to create the most advanced system of government the world has ever seen. That system has been bastardized by bad actors ever since, but thanks to the firm foundation the founders put in place, we the people have the ultimate say so in the end.

It sounds kitschy, but I cannot help but compare some of our modern day figures to those men who huddled together to create a more perfect union. Men like Elon, Trump, and RFK have sacrificed their lives of comfort for the sake of the country and I cannot express how gracious I am of that, no matter the outcome of this election.

As a bonus to this lengthy post, I have included the following quotation from my favorite of the founders, the great orator himself, Patrick Henry:
