We’re considering Banff or Glacier the week of Labor Day next year. They both look incredible so was hoping to get some advice on which one to choose. We have two kids 14 and 9. Thanks

I know it’s almost a year away but my work has a weird vacation schedule thing so we’re trying to kind of get an idea of what we’re doing

I did both this year. Can't go wrong with either, but with a family I would lean towards Banff.

I would expect some snow in Glacier. It’s worth looking at years past to see when they start closing roads and hiking trails.

September in glacier country is incredible as long as fire season is at a minimum. It’s hard to predict obviously, so if you plan on visiting you may want to consider travel insurance in case you have to cancel. The season here is very fragile, and this year we’ve been somewhat lucky but it’s been wet. Lots of snow already.

Taken this past Sunday at just 8k feet.

Kids = Banff
No kids = Glacier

They are both gorgeous. If you really want to experience Glacier, you have to work for it by doing a lot of hikes. Banff is much more catered towards tourists and there's a pretty cool town there to check out.
