Are the 1st gen PS3s that are backwards compatible with PS2 games worth any money broken or if I could fix it?

I sent mine back to Sony for repairs and instead for $100 they sent me the 120gb latest model of the slim.

Wouldn't be too pleased with that.

I don't need another ps3 and don't really want to spend money to fix it. I have a working one and a ps4 I just didn't know if the fact that it's backwards compatible made it worth anything.

there's a market for them. try ebay. i sold mine, although it was working at the time, for $200 or $250 i believe.

while looking on ebay at the time, i noticed there were lots of them that were broken that were being sold

that was like a year and a half ago btw

Thanks. I might give eBay a shot.
